Shaun has been practicing the Chinese arts of Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong for over 17yrs now. He was introduced to Tai Chi & Qigong when he attended a treatment centre for ill ex –servicemen with Combat Stress.
He found the practice of Tai Chi beneficial and therapeutic for him and enjoys passing the benefits onto others. He joined a Tai Chi association in Hull where he studied Lee Style for a few years.
During this time he also attended a training course where he learnt Dr Lam’s Tai Chi for Arthritis routines training under the guidance of Lesley Roberts Master Trainer of Lifestyle Tai Chi. It was in 2006 when Shaun began training in Sun Style Tai Chi Chuan. Shaun was introduced to Dave Martin, who was then the Chief Instructor of Sun Style Tai Chi Chuan Association UK and started to train with him where he was approved to become a qualified in teaching Traditional Sun Style Tai Chi Chuan.
Shaun also attends events such as Tai Chi Caledonia where he trains with different teachers to enhance his knowledge and training. It was at Tai Chi Caledonia where he met his Qigong teacher Master Faye Yip taking part in her training sessions.
This has led to Shaun becoming a Qualified Qigong Instructor with Master Faye Yip. As an ill ex- serviceman Shaun has found over the years the practice of Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong therapeutic for him.
